Experimental build for OS X

A lot of Mac users has been asking me how to launch HearthTracker under OS X.  I have decided to take a deeper look into that. Since my Mac machine is malfunctioned, I've ran OS X with a virtual machine and took me awhile to figure out a way to pack Java 7 targeted bundle into OS X "executable".  It launches fine, but I am yet to figure out does it actually work because the virtual machine is far too slow to run Hearthstone... so here comes your chance to test it, Mac users!

Without further adieu, I present you the v1.1.1 experimental build 1.

  3. Ran on my iMac (Late 2012) running OSX 10.9 and am getting

The action “Run Shell Script” encountered an error.
Check the actionʼs properties and try running the workflow again.

I cant 100% say with any certainty that I have done changes to my machine as I do a lot of coding dev on it

    1. I suspect it is due to needing Java 7? Sadly I am not yet quite prepared to upgrade to this as it will render my Chrome useless, and it is my preferred browser. However my Windows 8 Parallel machine runs HS perfectly, so I will just use that and the windows version.

    2. No, I am running the latest java. I suspect it has to do with permissions.

    3. It appears that you need JDK 7 to run the jar file on Mac (I am not too sure about this as well since I am kinda new with Java development). It has been reported that it will start with JDK 7 installed. However it is still bugged and won't be able to recognize anything yet (I suspect it is something to do with the weird Threading constrains on OSX).

    4. Thanks for confirming the JDK7 thing MegaG. Unfortunately, the Google Chrome dev team have not yet finished even a first version of a 64bit browser for Mac, and JDK7 requires a 64 bit browser and if you upgrade, java stops working completely on Chrome. This is not assumed, the Java installer gives you a half page message screaming the warning when you try to install.

As a chrome user and web-app coder I cant make this change.

    5. I didn't realize OSX was that bad for Java (or vice-versa) I will check if I can retarget my jar for Java 6. However, I am focusing on releasing some planned features, so it will take sometime (soon™) i guess.

      Thank you guys!

  4. Well its not Mac, you can upgrade to latest JDK no problem at all.. it just then stops working with any 32bit browser than needs java, and chrome ONLY has a 32bit browser.. BOO!! So really, its just chrome, but I need it for my work fully functional.

    Appreciate the feedback though
